How safety works
A child never talks directly to the AI model. Every message — in both directions — passes through a safety layer that runs outside the model itself.
What we filter out
- Profanity and unsafe topics (violence, self-harm, adult content)
- Attempts to bypass safeguards (jailbreak, prompt injection)
- Anything not appropriate for the child's age
- Hard topics → encouragement to talk to an adult
